excellent release by one of the most revolutionary artists for deep house in spain, his name, jesus gonsev from cuidad real. the manchego native rounds out the tenth vinyl release of house cafe music with a definitive american sound from the early 90s. the future of this artist looks bright as he is poised to release more records on soul cafe music from south africa and gotta keep faith records. next to me, the title track of this ep brings memories of the productions of steve bug or gamat 3000 from the dessous glory days, lots of groove with simple elements which make it both mixab le and danceable. so deep, has already garnered the attention of house legends such as larry heard and ame, who have already included this track in their sessions.

shack musics sister label ugh rolls out its 2nd release in time for the summer! already finding favour on early promo from djs as diverse as osunlade, rainer trueby, rocco, alix alvarez, franck roger amongst others, this is one deep as fook tune! seed allstarz are bradford james and nef nunez hailing from bean town that is boston and brooklyn, ny respectively! now seeing the light of day shack label head soy mustafa steps out with co-producer alex celler under the kemistry guise to unleash a peak time stomper with the terrace mix, that is aimed straight at the floor with its synth stabs, infectious bassline and melodic keys. on remix duty we have called in boddhi satva who at the moment is doing amazing things alongside alton miller and osunlade working on his album for the yoruba imprint. boddhi kicks things off with a choppy drum pattern rolling it out with some fat bass and deep ass strings which tells you that this brutha truly hails from the mother land

kat returns with dj only ze-edits of two tracks from the influential label that fused the parallel nyc dance and punk scenes to create a new sound that they aptly christened mutant disco. kid creole and material are the artists getting the once over from dj greg wilson, the oracle on this vital and misunderstood period in music. creole and the coconuts 1981 hit >im a wonderful thing, baby<. emphasising the driving piano and mid-tempo beats, >wonderful< is in safe hands with greg wilson in control. you have to move to this. on the flip we find materials >over and over< being edited by greg, putting the funk into jazz-funk. material were an early bill laswell project that delved deep into dancefloor-orientated jazz

next up from fear of flying we have pawas, originally from india and now based in cologne. pawas is currently in a bit of a groove on the production front with releases on adam krolls excellent squonk label and also with an ep forthcoming on germanys flash records with good friend daso. title track >playtex< is a twisting and turning groove through the deeper echelons of minimalism, very fx heavy with wibbles, whooshs and tripped out noises aplenty. one for the >hazy< moments on the dance floor with its hypnotic groove bound to lock them in until the early hours. >nylon< delivers a summertime injection in the form of an upliftingslice of niceness...

brommage dub is jesper dahlbäck and jean louis huhta.the two has recorded music together under this pseudonym since the mid 90s when the first releases came out on svek. in fact this year would be a perfect 10 year anniversary for this duo. this is the first release on their own imprint bromma, which is a part of stockholm 5 km west of the city. this was the home for jean louis during the early years of their produciton phase and which gave the duo their name. carbon oxide is a gas which was produced in the factory where jean louis huhtas studio now resides

jt donaldson follows up 2 outstanding eps for hudd traxx bringing his untitled orchestra partner cpen with him appearing under a new guise. the title track lives up to its name as it d bang the lights of any club! jt & cpen work out smooth beats, techy keys and melodic strings with a killer bass to make this track the pick of the ep. flip for the b side and jts signature deepness shines through starting with intimate friends. crisp beats and crunchy hi hats accompanied by low swung piano keys will keep the heads nodding into the early hours. spaced out is a late night deep viber which rounds off this ep nicely. full marks to the slum science crew for another essential release.

marcus was created in the early 2004 by davy standaert, stephane matten and geert standaert, as a new essay to the electronic music scene. their first single >weekend in paris< was played during summer 2005 on fm brussel, and came over during fall on national radios such as studio brussel and nrj. a first support for the band as they had no record company at that time. in april 2006, they signed a first deal for an ep with dirty dancing records, the label from the wellknown discotheque. the ep including the track >f-bees< was released in december 2006
